ENESS has designed the Modern Guru and the Path to Artificial Happiness travelling exhibition.

Modern Guru and the Path to Artificial Happiness is alive with AI – a new type of art interaction with the central character dispensing wisdom as it detects visitors.

"Modern paths to happiness are explored along a mystical journey, raising questions about wisdom, happiness and spirituality in the age of AI," said ENESS.

Visitors encounter glowing mountains, the Forest Dancer, the Sun God, the Wayward Forest, and finally, the Modern Guru – a translucent ovoid with four huge digital eyes floating above a ceremonial ring of LEDs.

From the guru's mouth flows a ream of absurdist AI-generated messages delivered when visitors take his photo, creating an air of intrigue for all who pass by.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
