Thinking Design and Lanting Design has renovated the MOJ Coffee interiors in Longquan City, China.

Integrated into an old water tower, MOJ Coffee is situated in Longquan City, an ancient capital known for its history of swords and porcelain production and its proximity to Longquan Creek.

The water tower holds special significance, bearing witness to the social changes and development of the city over time.

The renovation aims to modernise the building while preserving its historical memory and cultural heritage.

By integrating modern technology and craftsmanship with traditional architecture, the goal is to breathe new life into the old while embracing the new.

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant and bar interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
