Faber Futures and Mitre & Mondays have collaborated on the design of NPOL Original: Gathering Lamp.

Designed by Faber Futures with Mitre & Mondays, The Gathering Lamp is made by repurposing Biomason's Biolith® tiles: biomanufactured construction materials fermented by microorganisms at ambient temperature in standardised dimensions for building interiors.

Assembled with recyclable aluminium custom casing and fixings, the modular components are hand-assembled, repairable and reusable.

Promoting stakeholder collaboration for integrated repurposing systems while incentivising product recovery is part of a wider system of resource flows that must be engineered to create an integrated pathway for circular biomaterials.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design (consumer) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
