Melekzeynep Studio has created OpenWork, an acoustic installation.

OpenWork is an experimental design with intentional dynamic and sonorous surfaces shaped monumentally.

Through visitor interaction, this solid monument becomes flexible, transforming into an interactive experience.

Its acoustic surfaces, made of moving tubes and microphones, continuously change shape with human movement and wind, reflecting visitors' voices and turning the monument into a dynamic structure: a stage.

Visitors participate in shaping a swaying, sound-producing, mise-en-scène monument, making it a perceptual experience.

OpenWork represents a collaborative experiment in spatial experience, merging disciplines such as architecture, sound design, material knowledge, engineering, and sculpture art.

"Serving as a portal, it engages with consciousness," said Melekzeynep Studio.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
