Universal Design Studio has designed the Pressehaus Podium interiors for Fora Space in Berlin, Germany.
Pressehaus Podium is Universal's fifth collaboration with Fora Space, located in the heart of Berlin.
Honouring the site's rich history whilst embracing modern functionality, the design prioritises tactile and durable materials.
Universal sought to inject warmth, richness and personality to counterbalance the steel and glass facade.
"Concepts of recording history and archive drove the creation of functional spaces marked by stacking, rigorous grids and large volumes that define the interior and exterior," said Universal Design Studio.
Privacy and spatial variation within the transparent architecture ensure a balanced experience for occupants and wellbeing is prioritised via amenity spaces characterised by natural materials and thoughtful detailing.
This project has been longlisted in the workplace interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
