Anderssen & Voll has developed the Spoke Sofa for Takt.

In collaboration with the Norwegian design duo Anderssen & Voll, Takt has undertaken the unique design challenge of creating a sofa that embodies Takt's philosophy of perpetual design.

The component-based sofa is made entirely of mono-materials and is designed for repair and recycling if needed, ensuring no waste ends up in the landfill.

Another beneficial element incorporated in the design is that if the need to recycle occurs, the mono-material allows the sofa to be demounted in reusable materials so that no waste ends up in the landfill.

"Takt is challenging the furniture industry with an environmentally conscious agenda from initial design to finished product in the hands of the consumers [and] Spoke Sofa is no exception," said Takt.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
