Wallace Sewell has designed the Strata collection, in collaboration with Rols Carpet.

Two brands with a history of great design joined forces to combine traditional techniques with modern manufacturing, changing the perception of what recycled plastic textiles look like and how they perform.

"The Strata collection is a shared tribute to the beauty of our planet using the tapestry of the natural world as inspiration for the rich textures and the vibrant colour palette," said Wallace Sewell.

These rugs were developed using a low-impact yarn made from post-consumer PET plastics, recycling and repurposing waste materials into a beautiful, multifunctional and long-lasting product.

This project has been longlisted in the textile design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
