Tengbom has designed the interiors for its own office in Stockholm, Sweden.
Tengbom's Stockholm office was relocated from a modernist inner city building to a factory building in 1934.
Committed to sustainability and constrained by a limited budget, the objective was to enhance the qualities of the new office space and achieve a design that prioritises inclusiveness, co-creativity and wellbeing by making the most of the resources already available.
Repurposed interior elements and furniture, natural colours and materials and biophilia have been utilised to create a sustainable interior that stimulates the senses and celebrates the imperfect.
"The aim is for a workplace atmosphere of shared knowledge and experimentation," said Tengbom.
This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
