Kokuyo has converted an old dormitory into The Campus Flats in Tokyo, Japan.
This project involves the conversion of a 33-year-old company dormitory into a complex facility consisting of a housing complex for singles, a rental studio open to the community and a café.
The closed architectural program of a company dormitory was reorganised into a complex facility that provides residents with a new lifestyle and revitalises the community.
"The goal was to foster new connections between the city and the housing complex," said Kokuyo.
This project has been longlisted in the mixed-use project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
