Lesley Lokko has designed and curated The Laboratory of the Future exhibition in Venezia, Italy.

The submission highlights the exhibition design and curatorial strategy, undertaken by trained architects, graphic designers, and collaborators, working internationally. This led to a particular architectural approach and translation of the twin themes of decarbonisation and decolonisation, as set out by Lokko in her agenda for The Laboratory of the Future exhibition.

Across the summer and autumn of 2023, this important exhibition was seen by 285,000 people.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
