Da Orffo has developed The Life Chariot, a frontline-tested Medevac off-road trailer.

The Life Chariot is an off-road evacuation trailer designed for emergency rescues, towable by any hook-equipped vehicle.

It can transport one person on a stretcher with two rescuers or up to three lightly injured people, where its buggy-inspired caged upper body protects passengers from rolling.

The trailer's low weight and regulated sport suspension ensure a safe ride.

Emergency equipment is stored in airtight boxes, a roof rack and a secured shelf.

This trailer offers an alternative to helicopters, especially in areas accessible only by quad bike.

"By 2024, two Life Chariots were deployed to medical units on the Ukrainian frontline," said Da Orffo.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (health and wellbeing) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
