Toledano + Architects has renovated The Lighthouse interiors in Paris, France.

The apartment was originally the entrance Hall of an emblematic villa of Basque architecture of the '30s which consisted of three walls and a bay window facing the lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean.

The waves and the sinuous coast set the tone for the project, entirely drawn in curves.

A gallery was built as an entirely independent structure to minimise the impact of the intervention.

While the original parquet was renovated, the project was designed using two main materials: oak wood sourced from the French forests and stainless steel, which can withstand salt water from the ocean.

This project has been longlisted in the residential interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
