Gianni Ranaulo Design has designed The Nest by Sonara in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Nest by Sonara, designed by Gianni Ranaulo, is an eco-friendly retreat in the Margham desert, part of Dubai's Desert Conservation Reserve.

This off-the-grid experience offers 14 nests crafted to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape.

Raised on platforms, the nests feature tensile fabric stretched over steel and wooden frames, minimising environmental impact.

Each nest includes custom-designed interiors that optimise space and natural light, along with luxurious ensuite bathrooms using locally sourced materials and water-saving technologies.

The Nest combines sustainable design with contemporary luxury for an unparalleled desert retreat, with outdoor majlises with fire pits providing serene desert views.

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
