Cobe has transformed The Opera Park in Copenhagen, Denmark.
A former industrial island in Copenhagen's inner harbour, adjacent to The Opera House, has been transformed into The Opera Park.
Previously a simple lawn, it now boasts a diverse landscape designed for recreation and contemplation, contrasted with the dense inner city of Copenhagen.
This public harbour-front park features six gardens representing different global regions: the North American Forest, the Danish Oak Forest, the Nordic Forest, the Oriental Garden, the English Garden and a Subtropical Garden in a greenhouse above an underground car park.
The gardens honour the island's history as a shipping hub that brought the world to Copenhagen.
This project has been longlisted in the landscape and urban design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
