HCCH Studio has created and developed the Twisting Tower and Spiral Station structures in Shanghai, China.

The Twisting Tower and Spiral Station are two structures of the Shanghai Lingang Ecological Restoration Project, located 10 kilometres apart along the coastline.

HCCH Studio demonstrates the possibility of infrastructure as a landmark that not only serves an ecological purpose but also attracts public attention to environmental issues through the visual expression of technical elements.

From an architectural perspective, the architects also attempt to explore economic and intriguing solutions by using minimal formal manipulation.

This project has been longlisted in the infrastructure and transport project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
