Stanton Williams has designed the new UCL East Marshgate building in London, United Kingdom.

Designed by Stanton Williams and opened in 2023, Marshgate is a new type of academic building at the heart of UCL's East Campus.

This project is the largest single expansion of University College London since its foundation nearly 200 years ago.

Recognising that solutions to the planet's global challenges lie less within traditional disciplines, Marshgate is designed to facilitate collaboration and enable new cross-disciplinary ways of working that will accelerate breakthroughs in diverse fields such as medicine, technology, and the arts.

This project has been longlisted in the education project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
