JTRE London and Witherford Watson Mann have developed Appleby Blue in London, United Kingdom.
Appleby Blue, developed by JTRE London and designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Witherford Watson Mann, is a new almshouse development operated by United St Saviour's Charity.
Appleby Blue Almshouse boasts beautiful, spacious homes in a lively community setting in the heart of Bermondsey for low-income residents aged 65 and over.
The almshouse was specifically designed to ensure older residents can lead happier, healthier and more independent lives in an area they already know and love at genuinely affordable rates.
This project has been shortlisted in the housing category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
