Urselmann Interior has designed the AWM office interiors in Münster, Germany.
The construction industry contributes massively to climate change and resource waste; therefore, Urselmann Interior advocates a new design language in which "design follows availability."
Urselmann Interior focuses on a fully circular interior design inspired by cradle-to-cradle principles.
"In this project, we achieved 95.6% circularity, made transparent by a material passport and life cycle assessment (LCA)," said Urselmann Interior.
The AWM office design brings together innovative solutions, reused furniture and building materials, cradle-to-cradle certificated materials, hempcrete bricks, clay plaster, wooden structures from reclaimed wood and building materials found by urban mining and focuses on disassembly details.
This project has been shortlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
