Tom Fereday has designed Cast, a new concept speaker, in collaboration with Pitt & Giblin.

Cast is a new artisanal speaker concept developed in collaboration with Tasmanian audio brand Pitt & Giblin, produced in sand-cast marine-grade aluminium and handmade in Tasmania, Australia.

A high-frequency driver plays into a large circular waveguide.

A titanium diaphragm plays from 1kHz, providing even high-frequency coverage across the listening area and room to 20kHz.

Concealed behind are four 4" midrange drivers housed in a sealed plywood enclosure with response tightly controlled by Hypex nCore amplifiers.

This project has been shortlisted in the product design (consumer design and wearables) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
