Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2024 emerging designer of the year, Tokyo-based product designer Kodai Iwamoto.

While studying design at Kobe Design University he joined Design Soil, an educational project run by staff and students. Through this project Iwamoto participated in several international design fairs including Milan Design Week.

After completing his masters at ÉCAL in Switzerland, Iwamoto moved to Tokyo where he has been collaborating with native and international brands including G-Star RAW and Systemtronic.

He recently made a collection for Milan Design Week titled Narrating Objects.

Kodai Iwamoto has been shortlisted in the emerging designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
