Brandston Partnership has designed the lighting for the Shenzhen Women and Children's Centre.
The Shenzhen Women and Children's Centre is a landmark building of Shenzhen's urban renewal and the first public-private partnership project designed, renovated and operated specifically for women and children in China.
Brandston Partnership uses light to create an inviting architectural space that reflects a humanistic concern for women and children.
The lighting makes the building show a fun side at night while adapting to the pace of urban renewal.
It gives an old building new vitality, sets an example for urban renewal, and triggers new thinking on urban renovation lighting.
This project has been shortlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
