Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2024 emerging architect of the year, Japanese architect Takaaki Fuji is based in Tokyo.

They are distinguished by their distinctive forms, environmental consciousness and exploration of materials. Fuji's work spans architecture, pavilions and furniture.

Recent projects of theirs include the deformed octagonal Bay Window Tower House and the Circularity Cabin drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese wood module systems, facilitating easy disassembly and reconstruction.

Takaaki Fuji has been shortlisted in the emerging architect of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
