Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2024 interior designer of the year, Teo Yang is the founder of his eponymous design studio based in Seoul.

Teo Yang Studio aims to translate Korean heritage and traditions into a modern design language. They believe that reviving declining aspects of Korean traditions through design and art, by drawing inspiration from traditional Korean values and philosophies can contribute to a more diverse design world.

The studio has engaged in a variety of projects including consulting for the city of Seoul, designing the national museum of Korea and creating scents using AI.

A recent project of theirs is the Four Wheeled Pavilion, a miniature architecture piece inspired by their translation of ancient Korean scripts.

Teo Yang has been shortlisted in the interior designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
