Filippo Andrighetto has created the Veliero bookshelf, inspired by traditional Japanese carpentry and classic Danish furniture.
Crafted in Italy with meticulous attention to detail, Veliero's interlocking joints are inspired by traditional Japanese carpentry.
The bookshelf also pays tribute to Danish classic furniture, emphasising honest materials and soft minimalism.
The use of solid oak reflects a profound commitment to quality, longevity and sustainability, while its clean lines and unadorned surfaces contribute to an aesthetic that transcends trends, evoking a sense of simplicity and timelessness.
The fastener-free assembly elevates Veliero to a level where material, form and construction converge to create a sculptural work of functional art.
This project has been shortlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
