Inner Mongolia Ger Culture & Technology has designed the Zhengxiangbaiqi Grassland Community Center in Hohhot, China.
In response to the harsh climate, scattered housing, and intertwined production and living in pastoral areas, the design team has developed a lightweight prefabricated building system.
This system, tailored to local nature, resources, and society, explores contemporary grassland living from a low-carbon livability perspective.
Taking architecture as a medium, the design team proactively drew wisdom from relevant fields and consciously explored a new paradigm for the sustainable development of the grassland living environment, striving for its continuous development.
This innovative system provides settlement layouts, housing space types and construction techniques specifically tailored for grassland pastoral and cultural tourism residences.
This project has been shortlisted in the sustainable building category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
