Patrizia Moroso
Patrizia Moroso is the art director of family-run Italian furniture brand Moroso.
Moroso was founded in 1952 by Patrizia Moroso's parents, Agostino and Diana Moroso. The young Moroso attended art school in Bologna and joined the family company at its headquarters in Udine in 1979.
She quickly began to influence the direction of the company, collaborating with emerging international designers including Ron Arad, Ross Lovegrove and Tom Dixon, who she had met on her travels to London and whose careers she helped launch. She spoke about her early collaborations with these designers in an interview with Dezeen.
She later helped launch the careers of Tord Boontje and Patricia Urquiola and has commissioned designs from young design talents including Benjamin Hubert and Doshi Levien.
