The Architecture for Humanity course at YACademy enables students to gain knowledge in human-centred and ethical design alongside opportunities for scholarships and placements in design studios.

YACademy's Architecture for Humanity course collects the most relevant international experience in the field and prepares students with design knowledge to understand and deal with compositional strategies to be adopted in the humanitarian, social and emergency field.

The course offers three scholarships with full coverage of the enrolment cost for the most deserving students. It is also possible to participate in the courses remotely.

With a frequency of three days per week for a duration of two months, Architecture for Humanity hosts several frontal teaching modules and numerous interventions by well-known professionals working at world-renowned companies, including Alejandro Aravena, Anupama Kundoo, Tatiana Bilbao and Raul Pantaleo (TAMassociati).

The course's workshop will be carried out in collaboration with Anupama Kundoo and Women For Freedom, in the aim of designing architectures for victims of abuse in Bolivia.

In addition, YACademy offers its students the opportunity to participate in the process of producing their own ideas.

Students will gain practical experience on construction sites and the authorship of projects built for excellent commissions, destined for a major media echo and capable of defining a turning point in their professional career.

To conclude the course, each student will carry out a period of collaboration with one of YACademy's partner firms.

The collaboration will have a minimum duration of two months and guaranteed remuneration consistently with regulatory requirements.
