BFA in Interior Architecture at Cleveland Institute of Art
The BFA in Interior Architecture course at Cleveland Institute of Art provides students with drawing, rendering and 3D modelling skills to create scale models of their designs.
School: Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA)
Course: BFA in Interior Architecture
Location: Cleveland, USA
Course dates: four years
Application deadline: 1 March 2024
The Interior Architecture program at the CIA emphasizes architectural, functional and spatial design for retail, restaurants, corporate environments, trade shows and museum exhibits.
In this course, you will study design processes, sensitivity and knowledge of material specification, and ethical and sustainable problem-solving.
You'll work in your own studio space surrounded by your classmates, just like in a professional design studio, and build skills and confidence in drawing, rendering, computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modeling.
Through your four years at CIA, you will have access to cutting-edge computer technology, shop facilities, presentation rooms and rapid prototyping, a technology that turns your CAD/CAM design into three-dimensional scale models.
Partnering with regional design firms is one of our program's greatest strengths. Our students' projects cover a wide range of designs, from restaurants and healthcare centers to auto dealerships and museum spaces.
These projects are mentored by professionals from design consultancies who then participate in formal critiques of student work.
Applications to this course have now closed.
