This session will explore how dance practice can be used as a tool to analyse and design movement in the built environment.
It examines how we can create new techniques for analysing and designing systems for urban mobility.
This masterclass will be a series of two movement-based workshops taking place over two days, taught by artist and choreographer Adam Moore and research studio Dancing Architects founder Takako Hasegawa.
It will take the form of conversations and interactive activities exploring the body and urban mobility.
We will explore how the practice of choreography can be used as a tool to uncover the cultural, emotional and physical implications of movement in cities.
As part of the course, you will receive three publications that form part of our Choreographing the City collection – Encounters, Embodying Otherness, and Navigations.
Applications to this course have now closed.
