Learn how to create furniture from successful designers. Develop your own ideas through experimenting, model-making and testing.

Explore a variety of structures and technologies that support the human body's needs and routines. Gain and demonstrate fundamental skills required in the growing furniture design field.

This programme features small, interactive classes, real-time instruction (either in-person, or on Zoom), free access to software for remote use and free access to designated campus labs. Students will earn a certificate upon successful completion of all required courses.

The required classes for the certificate are Furniture Design Foundation, Furniture Design Studio and Professional Practices in Furniture Design, as well as one class that specialises in AutoCAD, Revit or Rhino.

Furniture Design classes also fulfil elective requirements for the following programs: Creative Careers, Digital Design, Fashion New Media, Graphic Design and Web Design.
