The MA Design for Health and the PgCert Lab4Living are related programs delivered by the Department of Art and Design and the Lab4Living research group at Sheffield Hallam University.
In these courses, students will expand their horizons and innovate for social good by applying creative skills and imagination to foster a healthy society at the intersection of design, creativity and health.
The MA Design for Health is a 12-month course for designers and creative professionals committed to developing a healthy society. The PgCert Lab4Living is a 4-month course targeted at professionals interested in expanding their horizons and exploring new opportunities at the intersection of design and health.
Emphasising personal research and practice, these courses provide a stimulating and supportive environment where students can develop their interests and ideas at the intersection of design and health.
Our academic staff are design specialists, researchers and practitioners with expertise across all facets of design and health, who will support and encourage students to expand their creative practice.
The course is part of an interdisciplinary postgraduate design programme that promotes an ethos of social and cultural innovation.
