The University of Cincinnati's new Master of Urban Design is a three semester unaccredited program intended for students with prior professional degrees in architecture or planning to further develop knowledge about the historic art and science of urban design in order to inform future visions for cities and places; introduce the skills and techniques to design liveable, functional, sustainable and aesthetically appealing places in light of contemporary challenges and provide critical thinking to develop multidisciplinary solutions that harmonise factors for creative place making and intelligent urban forecasting.

The program is taught through the School of Architecture and Urban Design and the School of Planning, taking advantage of the skills and research capacities of these two renowned programs and their faculty.
