The first edition of the Politecnico di Milano Specialising Master in Designing for Transition (managed by POLI.design) will start in November 2024 – it is an educational experience fostering sustainability and regeneration for social and productive models.
This innovative study path provides all the technical and practical skills to face sustainable challenges and drive effective solutions.
Paying attention to the entire ecosystem rather than just human needs, students will learn how to integrate biological system knowledge and take inspiration from them to create new artefacts.
Through lectures and practical activities, participants will explore strategies and tools of ecodesign, biodesign and design for circularity, identifying and creating sustainable market opportunities.
At the core of the master's topics are the Italian and European environmental policies and regulations, the assessment of the environmental impact of products and services, all the methods for integrating complexity and environmental needs into design processes, and emerging materials supporting environmental sustainability and regeneration.
Company visits, design workshops and the final internship are opportunities to gain practical experience.
Applications for the Specialising Master in Designing for Transition are due by 10 September 2024, which is also the deadline for two partial fee exemptions of 25 per cent.
