At Cornell University's Department of Human Centred Design (HCD), our faculty values evidence and interdisciplinary approaches to design to enhance our wellbeing, our environments and the products that we use.

We welcome high school students, and anyone wishing to improve their design thinking, build portfolios and address global challenges, to enrol in our immersive summer courses.

HCD's scholarly community embodies creativity, empathy and critical thinking, preparing students for careers in interior design and strategy, interaction and product design, environmental psychology, fibre science, fashion design and the business of fashion.

Enrol in our virtual summer courses to engage in both hands-on practice and theory and to learn alongside peers from around the world.

Enrolment begins March 17 2025 for courses offered June to August 2025. Winter courses also available.
