The Classic Planning Certificate (CPC) program allows professionals, students and interested citizens to gain a working knowledge and core foundation of skills in traditional architecture and classic planning. Graduates will improve their practice, enhance their study and be able to engage proficiently in the civic discourse regarding the built environment.
Certificates provide graduates with a working knowledge of classic planning, traditional architecture and the building arts. Although the PhD architect-led academic level is de-facto graduate level, the curriculum is accessible to university graduates if not high-achieving high school students and graduates. Graduates will receive a certificate issued by the Classic Planning Institute for completing each programme.
The Year One programme includes 30 weekly classes of five hours each and personalized one-on-one tutoring with professors on the studio projects. Classes are taught online via Zoom. Classes will be recorded and shared with the students for their personal use. Some classes feature selected guest lecturers – experts in their fields. The programme or content may vary.
