Kanye West

It was another busy year for self-proclaimed genius and polymath Kanye West.

His Yeezy fashion line and his sell-out trainers for Adidas ensured he kept himself involved in the design scene, although the man who once proclaimed he was working with five architects at a time was relatively quiet on the topic of architecture.

Dezeen readers still flocked to stories about his architectural side-projects however: our 2012 story about the popup cinema he commissioned from OMA was the most popular story about West over the year, while our 2007 scoop on his new minimalist apartment designed by Claudio Silvestrin is still popular, almost a decade after we published it.
