Fuorisalone and Design City Edition announce two weeks of events in showrooms, galleries and various venues in Milan.

In 2020, Salone del Mobile was cancelled due to the emergency caused by the spread of Coronavirus, which has caused many companies to rethink their communication on digital channels.

Milano Design City will be an event dedicated to the culture of design and innovation, with a particular focus on the redesign of urban spaces, sustainability and circular economy. The aim is to restart the Italian design system, which opens again to the public and will adhere to health and safety regulations.

Local events, talks, workshops, round tables and exhibitions will take place during Milano City Design. The events will be hosted in showrooms, museums and art galleries, and in venues set up for the occasion. This includes 5VIE D'N'A which hosts a series of activities and presentations linked with art, craftsmanship, lifestyle and sustainability.

A virtual showroom service has been set up through Fuorisalone.it to enable "virtual visits" to the design showrooms, which has been offered by Living 3D. The new immersive experience allows visitors to move within the space and interact with products.

Milano Design City takes place between 28 September and 10 October in Milan and online.
