The 2020 edition of New York City’s month-long celebration of architecture and design returns with a virtual and in-person festival programme.
This year, Archtober is celebrating its 10-year anniversary and is gathering events, exhibitions and activities that highlight the importance of architecture and design during these challenging times.
"We are proud to have an opportunity to celebrate the incredible strength of our city and its built environment, and the institutions large and small that contribute to its rich and vibrant cultural landscape" said AIA executive director, Benjamin Prosky.
The celebration is organised by the Center for Architecture and features a socially distanced in-person programme as well as an online-only talks, tours, DIY-style resources and self-led activities.
Archtober 2020 takes place online and at various location across New York during October 2020.
