New York City's Friedman Benda gallery showcases British designer Paul Cocksedge's fourth solo show, titled Performance, which explores the process of craft and making.
The exhibition explores the processes of craft with three works that look to capture and express theatricality in their material form: Performance, Push and Excavation.
The Performance series aims to tell a story that draws from the process of making. It explores the relationship between the maker and the audience, and the idea of an outsider watching the maker at work.
Each series presents a different method of making and the process behind it displayed as art forms, including glassblowing, concrete sculpting and metalwork.
Performance takes place from 24 March to 17 April 2021 at Friedman Benda gallery, 515 W 26th St 1st floor, New York, NY 10001, United States.
