Gropius Bau's major Yayoi Kusama retrospective aims to be the most complex and immersive exhibition of the artist's work.

This is Kusama's first museum retrospective and features nearly 300 of her works from over the last 80 years.

Subtitled A Bouquet of Love I Saw in the Universe, the exhibition shows gouache paintings, sculptures, fashion work and recent paintings.

The exhibition also features a new Infinity Mirror Room shown alongside a reconstruction of Kusama's original Infinity Mirror Room from 1965.

The exhibition also features eight exhibition reconstructions spanning 1952 to 1983, as well as vast archival works that cover Kusama's lesser-known time spent in Europe and reveal how she redefined the role of women in art.

Yayoi Kusama: A Retrospective takes place from 23 April to 1 August 2021 at Gropius Bau Museum, Niederkirchnerstraße 7, 10963 Berlin, Germany.
