Farmer designers: an art of living
Bordeaux, France
The Museum of Decorative Arts in Bordeaux presents an exhibition and accompanying cultural programme about farming design.
Farmer designers: an art of living has a central focus on soil and investigates the possibilities of this natural material for the future through looking at ways to regenerate rather than exploit it.
The exhibition also includes off-site components in the form of themed gardens located in different areas of Bordeaux, which are sponsored by farmers and designed by creatives including Anne Fischer and Dominique Marchais.
Visits to various farms and vineyards associated with the exhibition are also available, as well as a cultural programme that includes workshops for children and a series of roundtables and conferences with leading figures in the fields of farming, design and science.
Farmer designers: an art of living takes place from 14 July 2021 to 17 January 2022 at the Museum of Decorative Arts, 39 rue Bouffard, 33000 Bordeaux, France.
