Taking place at Viinistu Art Museum and online, the Biotoopia conference features a series of talks and discussion panels centred around biodiversity and the role people play in protecting nature.
Taking place in a small fishing town in Estonia, the conference brings together artists, scientists, philosophers and posthumanists to cooperate and discuss issues of biodiversity.
The event features an international guest panel that includes biologist Monica Gagliano, philosopher Timothy Morton, cultural theorist Ewa Domanska, artist Timur Si-Qin and biologist Andreas Weber.
Alongside its talks and panels, the Biotoopia Conference has an exhibition showcasing works discussing the theme of biodiversity along with live music and dance performances and a guided nature walk.
The first two days of the event will be accessible as a virtual conference that includes live broadcasts and meeting spaces.
Biotoopia Conference takes place from 26 to 28 August 2021 at Ranna 1, Viinistu, 74701 Harju maakond, Estonia.
