Chicago Architecture Biennial focuses on theme of The Available City, a subject that was decided by the new artistic director of the event David Brown. The biennial asks participants to consider the impact collective space can have in today's cities.

It aims to create opportunities for conversations about the intersection of architecture and design and issues such as health, sustainability and racial justice.
