Young Poland – An Arts and Crafts Movement
London, UK
William Morris Gallery showcases an exhibition that explores the architecture and decorative arts of Young Poland, a Polish modernist movement that existed between 1890 and 1918.
In partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute and the National Museum in Krakow, the exhibition looks to position Young Poland as an Arts and Crafts movement and explores its stylistic and philosophical ties to the work of British artists such as William Morris and John Ruskin.
Young Poland – An Arts and Crafts Movement presents over 150 works by Stanisław Wyspiański, Józef Mehoffer, Henryk Uziembło and Wlastimil Hofman.
Young Poland – An Arts and Crafts Movement takes place from 9 October to 30 January 2022 at William Morris Gallery, Lloyd Park, Forest Rd, London E17 4PP.
