Fiskars Village Art and Design Biennale addresses topical issues in contemporary art, design and architecture in the Finnish village of Fiskars.
Having first taken place in 2019, the biennale intends to offer an egalitarian platform for makers and design enthusiasts to come together.
Each year, the format of Fiskars Village Art and Design Biennale centres around three main exhibitions.
For 2022, Knots & Knits is a research project by Anniina Koivu and Andrea Caputo, while A House by an Architect is a collection of eight tiny wooden houses constructed on a meadow next to an oakwood forest.
Hidden: Forms of the Senses is a multisensory arts, crafts and design experience by artist cooperative ONOMA.
In order to ensure a versatile display of creativity, the biennale also includes an open call programme for other participants.
Dezeen is a media partner of Fiskars Village Art and Design Biennale 2022.
Fiskars Village Art and Design Biennale 2022 takes place from 22 May to 4 September 2022 at various locations across the village of Fiskars, as well as other areas in Raseborg, Finland.
