Japan House London presents The Carpenters’ Line: Woodworking Heritage in Hida Takayama, an exhibition showcasing the traditional craft from the Hida region of Japan.

The exhibition explores 1,300 years of Japanese woodworking in the Gifu prefecture, including materials, tools and furniture design.

The exhibition features a series of installations that address the development of the craft from the eighth century to modern factories.

The Carpenters’ Line: Woodworking Heritage in Hida Takayama takes place from 29 September 2022 to 29 January 2023 at Japan House London, 101-111 Kensington High Street, London W8 5SA, UK.
