Open House New York celebrates the city's architecture, design and cultural heritage over a weekend in October.

In a programme including talks and tours about how the city operates, visitors are granted unparalleled access to the various places, people and systems that define New York.

Founded in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center when much of the city's architecture was closed off due to security measures, the two-day event remains committed to its original mission to open up New York for everyone to enjoy and experience.

Open House New York is part of Open House Worldwide, a series of similar events that take place in over 40 major cities across the world.
