New York gallery the New Museum hosts artist Theaster Gates' exhibition Young Lords and Their Traces, celebrating those who contributed to the development of his home city of Chicago and the USA.

The exhibition showcases paintings, sculptures, videos, performances and archival collections to commemorate well-known and lesser-known figures involved in forming Gates' surroundings.

Theaster Gates: Young Lords and Their Traces takes place from 11 October 2022 to 2 May 2023 at the New Museum, 235 Bowery, New York City 10002, New York, USA.
