As part of its Cotton: labour, land and body exhibition, the Crafts Council hosts a symposium exploring cotton and colonial trade.
Symposium: Stories of Cotton addresses weaving, trade from the Caribbean and South Asia, and the environmental impact of the fibre.
The symposium's speakers include fashion designer Nicholas Daley and fashion lecturer Dal Chodha, curators Christine Checinska, Dominique Heyse-Moore, Rose Sinclair and Uthra Rajgopal; and artists Michael McMillan, Bharti Parmar, Hetain Patel and Brigid McLeer.
