Los Angeles-based gallery Marta partners with art and design auctioneer Catalog Sale to present an exhibition in New York.

Titled Make-Do, the exhibition displays 24 archival and modern chairs, half of which are from Catalog Sale's founder Avi Kovacevich’s collection.

The contemporary chairs were created following the brief of "make a chair in three days".

They were designed by Joseph Algieri, Samuel Brockman, Sarah Burns, Chen Chen and Kai Williams, Miles Huston, Sebastijan Jemec and Georgia McGovern, Minjae Kim, Nifemi Ogunro, Isabel Rower, Shaina Tabak, Brendan Timmins, and Kristen Wentrcek and Andrew Zebulon.

Make-Do takes place from 19 to 27 May 2023 at 5 Chatham Square, New York City, New York 10038, USA.
